Our Mission: The Junior League of Montclair-Newark, Inc. (JLMN) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Our Vision: JLMN's vision is that of a group of dedicated women which reflects our community and strives to significantly improve the lives of children at risk. Through hands-on volunteer commitment, collaborative efforts and community advocacy, we train the leaders of tomorrow and forge the friendships of a lifetime.

Read Across America: March 9, 2010 Read Across America Day, which falls on or around Dr. Seuss's birthday, expects more than 45 million readers, both young and old, to pick up a book and read. Help the JLMN celebrate celebrate the fun and value of reading, by spending the morning reading to pre-school children in Montclair, Glen Ridge and Bloomfield. Event is 9:30 - 11:30 am.
