Walnut Street Fair Vendor Registration

Held annually each Spring, The Walnut Street Fair provides over 100 vendor spaces to artists, craftspeople, food purveyors, jewelers, photographers, ceramicists, retailers, non profit organizations, and service businesses. All vendors must reserve a space in advance.

Please review the following information prior to registering.

Important Dates

January 21, 2019 Vendor Registration Open
March 1, 2019 (11PM)  Vendor Registration Ends (or until we are sold out)
April 4, 2019  Deadline to submit General Liability Certificate of Insurance to the JLMN
April 19, 2019  Deadline for all required license applications to be sent to the JLMN (See checklist below)
May 4, 2019 (Rain Date May 5, 2019) The Walnut Street Fair!!

Prohibited Vendors: The following vendors/types of vendors are not allowed at The Walnut Street Fair:

  • Vendors not appropriate for a family event.
  • Vendors incompatible with the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, Inc. mission.
  • Vendors who violate JLMN's Anti-Discrimination Policy.
  • Vendors wanting to serve, sample or sell alcohol.
  • Vendors wanting to serve, sample or sell marijuana or marijuana items.

Review the Vendor Liability Waiver and Mutual Expectations
You will be asked to verify you have reviewed and agree to the information in the documents linked above during the registration process. Vendor expectations include (but are not limited to):

  • remaining ‘open’ from 10AM – 3PM,
  • providing and loading in/out your own “stuff” and ensuring everything fits within your allocated space,
  • considering ways to reduce the amount of waste your generate, encouraging recycling and considering the types of materials and packaging you use,
  • cleaning up your own garbage and recyclables at the end of the event (vendors who do not clean up their space may not be allowed to vend next next year), and
  • displaying your vendor permit (provided at check-in) in a visible space at the front of your booth all day.

Walnut Street Fair Cancellation Policy: Vendor application fees are non-refundable.

No exceptions, please check your calendar before you register!

In the unlikely event of rain, the fair will go on! No refunds will be made due to bad weather or force majeure. Force Majeure: No party shall be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is a result of Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster), Acts of God, Acts of War, dispute strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

Generator Policy: All generators require pre approval prior to registration. For consideration, please email and provide, the make, model, wattage and and noise rating for your generator. ONLY quiet generators or generators with baffle box noise rating below 65dBA will be considered. With respect to all of our vendors, anyone who does not comply with this policy may be asked to leave the event and no refunds will be issued.

Keep Your Registration Confirmation 
Once your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email from the registration system. Please keep this email – it contains important event information and verification that you are registered.
